Thermoelektrica – Electricity from Industrial Waste Heat

Trying to maximize the use of resources, and to guarantee the protection of the climate, the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia together with the NMW Photon Cluster, are hosting the Thermoelektrica – Electricity from Industrial Waste Heat workshop, on February 11, 2016.

In both big and small industries, large amounts of heat are just being delivered to the atmosphere. In this reunion, the main proposal is the use of thermoelectric generators, which can transform the heat in electricity, creating a circle of renewable and responsible energy in small, medium and big industries.

Short lectures will be presented, regarding Nanocrystalline silicon for Thermoelectric generators, Thermoelectrics - from devices to applications, and Initial operating experience with thermoelectric generators for the use of industrial waste heat, among other topics.
