Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. The principal goal of Horizon 2020 is to secure Europe’s global competitiveness, granting funds to promote innovation in the continent.
The Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia organized an event in October, to provide knowledge regarding the participation and funding opportunities in Horizon 2020. The agenda included project management, building networks, funding opportunities and target groups within Horizon 2020, future and emerging technologies, and also insight and experience from experts and companies, who already have applied for the European Union program.
PI Integral Solutions was pleased to attend such an event that provided important understanding related to the expected growth of technology in Europe, before the end of the decade, and the funding possibilities for small entrepreneurs that the EU is providing with this program.
